The "Open the Arts" festival is organised and hosted by Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR.
These General Terms and Conditions apply between the participants of the "Open the Arts" festival and Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR. By participating in the festival and entering the festival area, you agree to these terms and conditions:
The courses, workshops, festivals, events and exchanges organised by Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR are part of the training to become a Lindy Hop show dancer and dance teacher. By registering for one of the courses offered by Lindy Hop Saarbrücken, I confirm this.
3.1 Registration for courses is made in writing or electronically using the dance school's registration form.
3.2 The contract is concluded when the dance school has confirmed the registration and received the participation fee.
Within 2 days of receiving the confirmation email, after successfully registering for the course or by the end of your booked course at the latest. If the fee is not paid by this time, the basic payment obligation does not lapse.
By sending the registration you accept the following cancellation conditions:
Non-participation in the booked courses or workshops (for any reason) will incur a 100% cancellation fee. However, it is possible to transfer your pass to another person free of charge. In no case can we refund the course fee.
6.1 Depending on the current situation, Lindy Hop Saarbrücken may have to/may be able to assign a fixed dance partner to the participants of the weekly courses on a weekly basis and it may not be possible to change partners.
Depending on the current situation, Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR may have to/can organize the current partner Lindy Hop dance classes as solo dance classes.
Depending on the current situation, Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR may have to/can organize the current partner Lindy Hop dance courses as online solo jazz or as online partner dance courses for those who bring a permanent partner. Lindy Hop Saarbrücken can always decide for itself whether a reaction to the changed situation is necessary. A payment obligation always remains!
Depending on the current weather conditions, the courses may take place at a different location or indoors (if legally permitted). A payment obligation always remains.
6.2 Cancellations in connection with Covid-19
I agree that with my registration I am obliged to pay my party/workshop fee. Even if I have to cancel the party/workshop in connection with Covid-19 such as quarantine or illness, I am still responsible for paying my party/workshop fee. If the organizer has to cancel the event due to restrictions, participants must still pay their workshop/party fee.
We believe in creating an environment where people in the swing dance community can learn, dance, grow and feel safe. Discrimination or harassment based on gender, national origin, ethnicity, religion, race, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated. Participants and organisers are committed to working together to ensure that dance spaces and venues are safe and welcoming for all people.
Participation in the courses and events is at your own risk. Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR is not liable for theft or damage caused by third parties. Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR accepts no liability for accidents or losses, theft or damage caused to participants for any reason whatsoever. Claims for damages against Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR are excluded. The participants themselves are liable for all damage they cause to rooms, objects and third parties.
Smoking is not permitted in the venue. We ask you to wear dance shoes or shoes with clean soles in the rooms.
Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR or the venue reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the published programme (lesson times, bands, venues). Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR accepts no responsibility for the cancellation of artists or band members due to illness or other reasons. We recommend that you visit our website, Instagram and Facebook regularly to stay informed.
By registering and participating in the event, you grant permission for Lindy Hop Saarbrücken GbR to use photographs and/or videos of you taken at the event in publications, news releases, social media, online, and in other communications related to the mission of Lindy Hop Saarbrücken. If you see a picture or video featuring you that you would like us to delete, please reach out to and the published content will be unpublished and also removed from our archives.
By attending the "Open the Arts" festival, you agree to the Terms and Conditions regarding refunds and registrations outlined above.
